DWF Convention 2008

I missed Vegas and am sad now cause it looks like you guys had so much fun! I just booked my room for Tampa. Can't wait to meet you all in person YEAH! - Chelsea Elizabeth

After looking at the [ImagingUSA] tradeshow participants, it's pretty much the same as the WPPI tradeshow. So if I can save a trip to Vegas... that will be a bonus in time savings for me. Antwan

My life as a wedding photographer changed totally after Vegas '06 and I was so disappointed when I couldn't attend DWF '07. Can't wait for January! --Eero

I went to the last convention and it was AWESOME!! I learned more in that short time then in the past year on my own. One thing I did learn is you need to "put yourself out there." I have the hardest time introducing myself to people I don't know. This next convention I'm definately not sitting back. - Pat Wimpee

I go to DWF for the people that will be there - for the speakers, the seminars and for the social aspect of hangin' with my other DWF Peeps - John Lyons

This.. is the reason I went to DWF and the reason I will go back. All of the seminars I went to were not geared to selling a DVD after the seminar. And it makes a difference. Zettl

I think the greatest information imparted unto myself wasn't during any of the seminars but, instead, during the many smaller conversations that was to be had between photographers. These little nuggets aren't garnered when you're in a group of hundreds but are found, when you're in a small intimate group, just asking questions and responding in an honest and sincere way. The networking opportunities were probably the single best aspect for me. And the message to continue to REACH OUT to other photographers, particularly in my local area, was not a new point but was just as important to hear this year as ever before. I'm going to make a strong effort to do that.

The best teachers weren't (necessarily) speaking in the seminars, they were chatting it up over dinner or drinks. Thanks to you who took time to share insights or thrash through a technique. - Andree Kehn
