Does
location really matter?
Join Steve and Jen for a hands-on photography experience. This is not a
class about theory - we're getting out on the streets and showing you
exactly how to use the landscape in front of you. We will show you how we
select locations, use the light, and give our images layers and depth.
By day's
end you'll learn:
1. How
evaluate light, texture, layers and location when deciding where to shoot.
2. How any location has everything you need, if you know where/how to look.
3. Three keys to marketing your style to attract the clients you want. |
Jen & Steve
will start the day with a quick review of what we look for in locations.
Before your coffee gets cold you'll be hitting the streets for a live shoot.
Using areas nearby, Jen & Steve will demonstrate what they see and what they
do. After lunch, you'll chat about marketing YOUR style to attract the
clients you want. And don't worry, you will see the images shot during the
live shoot, including before and after comparisons.

Should shooting be limited to
Saturday?
This class will focus on artistry and
business techniques that will help you build your portraiture business.
Tina Wilson will teach some of the art and shooting skills that have helped
her build a highly successful portrait studio. Tina will conduct a
live shoot with the class at this seminar.
As we all know, photography isn't just art: In the second half of
this class, you'll focus on your own business and establishing your
own brand. You'll do real time soul-searching, as you consider your own
strengths and weaknesses, toward the goal of defining your brand and
marketing it.
Among the takeaways you'll leave with:
1. how to
photograph children for profit/ handling the actual flow of the
photography session (even if you don't like kids)
2. how to get your name out to the clients that you want to shoot for
and create the buzz that you want in your area.3. how to get 10 sellable images of a single child in 5 minutes or
less without moving them a step |
This 8 hour seminar is going to be real. It's going to be practical. And as
you head home to shoot portraits, it's definitely going to be applicable.
