Janice

Chris's Blog - 1 hour 27 min ago
Janice lives right here in Providenciales and wanted to have some pictures taken by herself. I think it is a great idea because, really, how many times are you in a picture with just you. Janice brought a few different outfits and we started off our photo shoot in Royal West Indies and slowly made our [...]

Paula and Iain at Lillibrooke Manor, Maidenhead.

Yvonne's Blog - Thu, 2008-05-08 08:38

It was the meeting of two very different cultures when lovely Argentinian bride Paula,

married Scot Iain at Lillibrooke Manor in Maidenhead a couple of weeks ago.

Paula’s parents, sisters and close friends had flow in from Argentina to share Paula’s special day with her.

Dad Gustavo could not have looked any prouder when it was time to walk his lovely daughter down the aisle.

The barn in which the ceremony was held was lovely and bright, and the registrars were friendly and accomodating, which gave me the opportunity to really capture all aspects of the ceremony.

Paula and Iain were really “up for it” when it came to have some fun for our couples photographs, and it was a real shame that winter seemed to have broken out just for this week, given that our bride comes from slightly toastier climes.

Still, everyone had a great time and after the wedding breakfast in the beautifully decorated main barn,

emotional speeches..

were followed by the first dance of many.

It was hugely entertaining watching the Scottish musical trio teaching classic Scottish Cailidh dances the visitors from the land of Tango. It was great to see everyone getting stuck in and having a blast doing so.

Iain and Paula now travel to Argentina for another celebration with the rest of the family and friends overseas and I wish them a great trip and fabulous second wedding celebration.

Chloe and Eytan at The Grove, Watford.

Yvonne's Blog - Thu, 2008-05-08 08:16

Ok, so here’s something a little different. Unfortunately I am not permitted to share images of the groom with you (although I assure you, he was there!), so I can’t show you the REALLY cool couples shots we did around the Grove’s stunning water feature, BUT instead it gives me a chance to share some of the amazing COLOURS of the day.

Let’s start with our lovely bride though, Chloe, who was getting ready with a view of the beautiful gardens.

And it was no wonder mum Jenny had tears in her eyes when her daughter was about to don this beautiful dress to look just stunning.

Of course, little princesses require attendion too.

The Grove has lots of wonderful nooks and crannies which each have a different feel, so we explored some of the dark hallways and corridors, using just the available light..

and on one occasion added a little warmth with the light from the videographer.

After a lovely ceremony it was time to enjoy the celebrations. The ballroom looked amazing and the Events Coordinators, Carole Sobell, had set up a lighting rig to rival any I’d seen…

the vivid colours throughout the night really had a huge impact on the atmosphere.

Add into the mix the Gilev Show Band, who are a spectacularly talented set of musicians (and no, I do not get paid to say this!) and you had the makings of a fabulous Symcha.

Not everyone thought the music was great,

but overall, a fabulous time was had by guests of all ages,

and the dancing continued late into the night.

Mazeltov! to Chloe and Eytan.

Victoria & Steven’s Engagement

Ulysses Ashton Blog - Wed, 2008-05-07 14:31

Ulysses and I were so excited to finally meet Victoria & Steven! We had spoken extensively on the phone, and we just knew we were going to have a great time with them. This adorable couple were all sugared up from a cake tasting before their session, and literally had us laughing all the way through. They also have the neatest story about how they met … over their love of cappuccino! They are both serious cappuccino aficionados and reviewers on yelp.com. They had been reading each other’s reviews for months, and then finally met at a Yelp event. They’ve been together ever since! So naturally, there will be a coffee theme at their upcoming July wedding.

Enjoy this preview while we prepare the rest of their gallery, which will be available soon on our main website under “Client Proofs,” and please feel free to post your comments.

Spreading some Tirado Photograpy love both near…and far! - Part II

Melissa's Blog - Tue, 2008-05-06 15:53

Just as a reminder, our studio will be closed over the next several weeks as we travel to Europe for some fabulous shooting assignments and also some down time. We’ll be visiting Italy and returning to Paris and doing it all with some very good friends of ours, Jerry and Georgina Ghionis, so we’re really looking forward to coming back and reporting all of the fun details. Incidentally, it was Jerry who took took these fabulous portraits of ourselves and so I’m sure we’ll have a few new ones and will also be returning the favor for them!

On a more serious note, this is also a working holiday for us so we will be checking our voice mail and our email daily. Because of the time difference there may be a slight delay in our getting back to you, but please know that we will be getting back to you promptly to answer any questions.

We’ll see you back here soon!

Spreading some Tirado Photography love both near….and far! - Part I

Melissa's Blog - Tue, 2008-05-06 15:37

Most of our sessions and weddings are here in Boston and in the surrounding New England area. But occasionally we try spread some Tirado love around the rest of the world. This month seems to be the right month to do that.

On a somewhat local front, we were so honored and humbled to be featured on a fellow photographer’s blog recently. Ann Monteith is an amazing photographer and incredible business woman who dedicates so much of her time to helping other photographers be successful. She helps photographers through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one mentoring sessions and she also has a website that it dedicated to keeping photographers up to date on the newest and latest trends as well as providing some always helpful tips. Every month she updates a segment of her website called “Fascinating Folks” where she spotlights a successful studio and provides information on what they’ve done to make it all work. So you can imagine what an incredible honor it was for us to be featured this month on Ann’s blog! You can read all about it here

Being Who You Really Are.

Tims Blog - Tue, 2008-05-06 04:20
Whenever I write my name out, it's always Timothy Uhl (pronounced Yule for those who don't know). I always use the full name when I reference myself. Business cards, e-mail signatures, all of that stuff. I do this for two reasons. First, the shorter name, blurs ...

Saturday with Wyatt

Amy Blog - Mon, 2008-05-05 13:57

Wyatt loves Mario. He also loves making books. Wyatt has made dozens of his own books that feature Mario and Luigi as the main characters. I’m sharing this because the buzz around the Prutch house is about Super Mario Kart for the Wii. Mom put down the money for pre order, and Wyatt has to come up with at least half of the money for the game.

He decided to see if he could make a little cash by selling some of his Mario books.

If you remember, it was a rainy Saturday. That didn’t stop him.

Despite the fact that the rain subsided, he wasn’t getting a lot of business. Hmmmm, time to take a break and think. Some people just think better when they’re swinging on tree branches!

He decided his table needed a little more pizzaz. Something to catch the eye of the passerbys.

Out came the Mario toys (and a few he had modeled himself out of clay)

Well, not all of our business ventures go as planned. Two hours later, we closed up shop and took our business in a different direction. Cold Calls. Grandpa Tony now has two of the Adventures of Mario and Luigi on the way to his house in Las Vegas. And Wyatt is .50 cents closer to his game for a grand total of $16.85.
