Screaming online has to be better than smashing up your keyboard right? And yup that’s the actual thread title. You can feel the frustration put into letters as one DWFer dwells on the rates of the newest photographer in town! So what do you do (if anything) when a photographer shows up on your doorstep and their charging a fraction of what a true PROFESSIONAL would charge?
Scream, grind your teeth, clench your fists, open a bottle of Jack…?
Really… there’s really not much you can do but at the very least you can do is login to the DWF and vent a little with your peers. Read the ARRRGH thread now and if you’re not a member, the trial is free. PROFESSIONALS only please.

If they want to work for peanuts so be it. Their loss of time and energy. What’s the old saying ? You get what you pay for.
Eventually, they’ll get worn out and quit or raise their prices. If they raise their prices, they’d best raise their game too or folks just won’t see them as worth their price and pay them.
I don’t mind it at all. They make me that much more distinct.
We have THOUSANDS here in Chicagoland, and several $1000 per wedding, with an album, stable type studios. Nothing can be done other than target a market than wants better service and better photography.
