When a client tells DWF Pro member John Michael Cooper (altF) and his lively wife Dalisa that they have free reign watch out!
“my personal style is dark”, that’s what I usually say. It’s not often that I get the same said back to me, “yes we like it on the dark side also..” Awesome, how lucky I am when a super cool couple’s vision lines up with my own personal vision.
And line up it did. John and Dalisa are in the midst of opening a brand new studio and this is their first official shoot in the new space. The couple Stephanie and Corey are huge fans of the TV show “Dexter” and themselves suggested a Dexter-esque kill room scene. If you’re not familiar with the show, Dexter is a crime scene investigator/serial killer and the show is dark comedy at it’s best.
If you happen to be a fan of modern metal you might have heard of Corey’s band once or twice. It turns out Corey is the lead singer of the hardcore band Slipknot and after a quick look at the video below you’ll see how well John was able to match his work to the client’s taste. Fans of John’s work will note the SHOVEL at the beginning of the video – HA! It’s a great reminder that art is all relative and this is some absolutely amazing artwork.
