In the few years since Apple started selling apps in the app store, the level of complexity of these apps has gone up.

One of the first apps for the iPhone was Remote, which allowed you to control your iTunes library on your home computer from your iPhone. At the time, that was cool.

However these days, you’ve got things like TeamViewer App, which allows you to remotely control your home computer. From your iPhone. FOR FREE.

Yes, the idea isn’t new (there’s already the $30 LogMeIn Ignition), but for free? That’s just nuts. There is a pro version of the software (for $99), but unlike most Freemium models, there isn’t any extra content in the pro version, nor are there any ads on the free version. The difference? They want you to pay for the pro version if you’re using it for commercial purposes.

Will do.

Oh, and even better, it works on both Mac and PCs (and probably your new iPad too)
