Personal and group photographic challenges have long been a great way to push yourself into new situations, forcing yourself to grow creatively.
There’s a lot of things you can do to challenge yourself, from taking and publishing one picture a day (365 project), to photographing the colour red to using only one lens to … well, there really is no end to them.
One of the more creative group challenges to come out recently is this one, issued by Scott Kelby: Shoot old school for one day.
Pretend that fancy digital SLR is actually just a regular old fashioned fim SLR. Cover the LCD screen, set your ISO (that one’s optional) and shoot a maximum of 36 pictures.
You can find all the rules (well, rules are perhaps the wrong word as it isn’t a contest. Guidelines, perhaps) over at Scott’s Blog.
