Well the date has passed and no life changing Canon press release has been found. The only tidbit I could locate was some obscure mention of an adobe partnership regarding PDFs on CanonRumors.

Maybe it was the announcement that Canon will not be participating in the PMA 2010 Tradeshow this coming year.
