DWFers all know about the awesome deals their membership allows them to get on credit card processing. Wedding photographers also tend to be Apple fanboys and just loooooove their iPhones, so taking credit cards over your phone is a no-brainer, right? Make it easy for clients to give you money, after all.
Well now, one bank is letting you not just run credit cards, but deposit checks with your iPhone. USAA’s iPhone app lets you take a picture of the front and back of a check with the iPhone camera and submit it directly to their processing center. After that, it’s just like any other check you’ve endorsed and mailed in. How cool is that? Now taking checks can be just as easy for you, and for your clients, as taking a credit card. How long until every bank offers this service? Not soon enough I think.
