Vincent Laforet’s stunning video produced with the new Canon 1Dmk4 is no longer available after a curious takedown request from Canon. Now why would they go and do a thing like that? We blogged it for you earlier this week, so hopefully you had a chance to get a peek, as it was pretty stunning.

What I can’t figure out is why they asked Vincent to take that beautiful video down, but haven’t issued a similar request to CNET Asia for this laughable piece, in which a cell phone picture of the back of the LCD of a 1D4 taking a picture of another picture (wrap your noodle around THAT) is used to claim the 1D4′s ISO 102,400 performance is inadequate. Say what?

So, Canon…how about you release some high-res pics from the new beast already so we can accurately judge for ourselves?
