DWF – Let’s start off with a little bio, tell us a little bit about yourself.

DALISA – I’m a modern day version of Lucy – pretty silly, always up to something and completely in love with my husband.  I have a good sense of humor and can usually roll with the punches even though I am pretty sensitive.  My feelings are easily hurt but I am a master at not showing it.  I’m a bit spicy and a dash of sweet at the same time.  I’m a business owner, wife, mother, sister, daughter…

DWF – How did you become a photographer?

DALISA – I was drawn into the business by my husband (John Michael Cooper).  I was publishing a bridal magazine when he came on board as an advertiser.  I would see him at mixers and bridal shows and wonder how such an amazing photographer was so terrible at being a businessman.  After we were married and I would arrive home to chaos, I took the leap and quit my day job to take on Altf with full force.  With me handling all the contacts, I gained these great relationships with our brides who insisted I be there for their wedding.  Being the type that can’t just stand around, I began picking up the camera and learned a few tricks from this brilliant photographer who was always there to teach me.

DWF- Who or what inspires you as an artist?

DALISA – John Michael Cooper inspires me by his drive to go against conformity.  David Williams inspires me to look into the meaning of what it is I can offer to those around me.  My daughter inspires me to stay young and have fun with or without my camera.  I inspire myself to continue on as a strong business woman and push to achieve what makes me happy.

DWF- If we needed a photographer today why would we book you? What makes you unique?

DALISA – You wouldn’t book me – I would have you looking at the art of John Michael Cooper first.  He is unique in so many ways – but my play in it?  You will get the ultimate package.  I am very proud of the customer service and attention that I provide to our clients.  I am attentive and make things happen.  Procrastination is not an option – whether it is a product or service for a client or executing an idea.

DWF- If you had to pick a favorite “Tool of the Trade” what would it be? and why?

DALISA – When it comes to mixing family and business, my toolbox contains patience, compromise, and commitment.  In my tool box you will also find some technical secrets such as DWF, ShootQ, my Mac, a few drobo’s, some Canon’s, Facebook and twitter.

DWF – Care to share your favorite photographs?
