DWF – Let’s start off with a little bio, tell us a little bit about yourself.
ROBERT – I’m actually just a regular guy really, doing what I love. I’ve been doing predominately Pin-Up/Boudoir type photography for the last 4 years as it seems to fit my style very well I am a very visual person, and have always been drawn to art and anything graphic. I have always appreciated the female form and growing up in the late 50′s early 60′s, can recall looking at the magazines with illustrations of women. I have basically turned those memories into the art form you see in my images today. It is very nice thing that others appreciate what I do and for that I am very grateful.
I must say that I have had a lot of help though, great Make Up Artist, Hair Stylists and stunning models. When you have a good team to work with you’re bound to get good results. I just hope others enjoy the art form as much as I do. And…the biggest thing in my photography is… Having FUN!
DWF – How did you become a photographer?
ROBERT – I started doing this from a simple inspiration. I saw a posted image on another bulletin board like this one. It was a picture of a pinup, but the photographer had put a big red circle behind the model. I LOVED it! At that moment I was on a quest to try and reproduce the images I had seen as a kid growing up in the early fifties.
DWF- Who or what inspires you as an artist?
ROBERT – Art. Gil Elvgren, Vargas, Olivia, and Norman Rockwell are my biggest inspirations. Creating inspires me. The whole process from makeup, picking a theme, shooting, post work is all very stimulating to me, The creative process is just amazing to see it unfold and become a reality.
DWF- If we needed a photographer today why would we book you? What makes you unique?
ROBERT – I think what makes me unique is my post work. I can take an image and turn into a very retro/illustrated look that I believe is quite appealing.
DWF- If you had to pick a favorite “Tool of the Trade” what would it be? and why?
ROBERT – My favorite tool is Photoshop. I LOVE this program. Where your imagination is the only limitation. I can spend hours on an image in photoshop and still want to do more to the image. ha!
DWF – Care to share your favorite photographs?
ROBERT – This first one I just love. We sorta winged the shot. We knew that we wanted to do some sort of Cowgirl image, so I shot it on light brown seamless paper, added a few props, and whoola! I just love it!

This one (Ducky) was the models idea. I love this one as we shot on a metallic background, wasn’t sure of the outcome ha! and it just really amazed me.

This headshot is of Candace. She is just stunning and I am just in awe every time I look at her headshots.

This is the same model as Ducky, she has red hair here, but she just brought these wild pantyhose and I added the enhanced makeup under her eyes to match. She is very artistic and inspiring to work with.

I was actually very hesitant to do a pirate theme, but I must admit this one came out just great.

Outside images are my weak point, but if you add just the right elements, sometimes you can’t lose. I amazed myself on this image… reminds me of old Cuba.

Old Hollywood BW glamor. I learned this style from Mark Wangerin. I just love this genre as well and this model really pulled the look off.

Ciji IS my favorite model. She just nailed this one and it really shows off her beauty.

Diahann…. she is heavily tattoed and the work is just top notch. I just love how her tatoos came out on this image, one of my all time favorites I have hanging in my house.

DWF – How about some final words to live by?
ROBERT – “I am a poor man and of little worth, who is laboring in the art that God has given me in order to extend my life as long as possible” – Michelangelo
