Last week we announced that Google would be indexing twitter but at the time we weren’t quite sure on how exactly this would work. The following videos explain how Google Social Search works.
How Google Social Search Works
Social Search Demonstration
There is some very useful information in there including how to control the content that will be used by Social Search. It does appear though that in order for social search to work you must be logged into Google. This, to me at least, limits it’s value as both a user and a business person. You’ll find Social Search in Google Labs. What are your thoughts?

Yes folks, for those of you who really didn’t appreciate just how PUBLIC your tweets are, now they’ll be searchable (and findable) for just about any future employer or client.
Anonymity, to a degree, on social networks has its perks.
(Disclaimer: youtube is blocked at my current location, so I wasn’t able to watch the videos, but the fact that your tweets are saved for searches tells enough to make the above comment.)
