Google Labs -the official testing ground for ground for all things good and evil- has released their latest search engine twist yesterday.
Google Squared is an experimental search tool that collects facts from the web and presents them in an organized collection, similar to a spreadsheet. If you search for [roller coasters], Google Squared builds a square with rows for each of several specific roller coasters and columns for corresponding facts, such as image, height and maximum speed.
But I’m a wedding photographer, not a roller coaster enthusiast why the hell do I care? You care because this basically allows any bride to turn Google into an At-A-Glance Wedding Referral Site based upon their own search terms. Revealing items like your business name, one of your images, a description, telephone number, contact name and more on one easy to glance thru page.

And while it’s still in it’s inital testing phases this could be one of those things that we may need to address withour SEO and Search Engine Marketing campaigns in the future.

I don’t like it, I am on the first page of Google under “Dayton Wedding Photographers” and on the second of Google Sq.
I agree Max I’ll be watching this one with a keen eye.
I don’t like it. It mixes me up with another photographer.
Did you mean “At-A-Glance” rather than “At-A-Glace”, which would be an ice-cream??
Bad so far, it’s mixing me up with another photographer too. My info links to anothers website.
Everything is good for me, but the image isn’t mine which sorta ticks me off….. anyway to change that?
It’s too bad the results don’t use a site’s META description tag. I also discovered that the image they pulled for my listing was pulled from a completely different site!
