I am currently just shooting part time, but I had my own real estate appraising business not long ago and when I did I had my own health insurance, but it was what the guy called catastrophic insurance. It didn't pay anything up to like $5000 per year, but then it paid 100% up to 2 million dollars. I kind of liked it. I thought long and hard about going to the doctor and just toughed stuff out most of the time. The one time I did go for a fever it cost me about $800 out of pocket. Ouch! But...I was paying $100 per month for health care, which isn't bad considering some of the rates out there.
