Many photographers are really good about properly tagging their still images when sharing them on their blogs or websites but with more and more photographers sharing videos online it’s more important than ever to properly TAG your video content so it can be found by easily by Google and it’s users.

What are the five things Google is looking for when it comes to video content?

  1. Title
  2. Brief Description
  3. Play Page URL
  4. Thumbnail Image URL
  5. Raw Video File Location

So how do you get all of that to Google? With a video sitemap of course! Especially important for those of you who have chosen to host your own videos without using a third party streaming service.
