From the product descriptions, the guy is selling smart excel sheets that have helped him run his budgets to figure out his prices.
For the price of of $60-$105 dollars spreadsheet set, I would demand to have at least bi-monthly market analysis worked in to change your equations. Otherwise, these sheets would be outdated rather quickly, and of no use after setting up your initial price structure.
Granted, initial price structure is what the target audience is using the product for, but $60-$105 is only going to appeal to either the most desperate of us or those with some cash to blow, especially in the day of community blogs where information is next to free. If you’ve got an internet connection, a telephone, and a free weekend, you can do your own independent market analysis of just about every photographer in your area and price yourself accordingly. If you can work out a budget, and you’d better be able to if you want to run a business, then you can make your own spreadsheets.
We appreciate your comment. Your comment is very important and we will make changes to clarify our product description.
After you have set your initial pricing, you can continue to use the software for many different scenarios. This can be done bi-monthly, monthly, or however often needed. You can use it as long as your business makes new purchases (advertising, equipment, etc.) or spend any more time on your business. There are many more scenarios and “what if’s” that can be easily figured out. Simply enter the new value and see what your pricing will change immediately.
For example, you can determine how your pricing should change if:
1. You want to get a new camera (or any other equipment) and you would like to know how much to increase in your pricing to cover your costs and still make the same money you were making.
2. Your business is growing and you want to know how a commercial lease vs. home studio will change your pricing. With additional overhead, you have to increase your pricing and/or increase your amount of projects to cover your costs.
3. If you decide to offer a new album and this album takes more time to create than what you are used to, you can price out this album knowing that your cost and time will be covered.

Time is $$$. Every photographer works differently and spends different amounts of time doing the same task. For example, two photographers have the same experience and skill and the same 8 hour wedding. Photographer A can spend 30 hours editing where Photographer B only spent 10 hours. If they are charging the same amount with the same overhead & expenses, it’s clear that photographer B will make more money per hour than photographer A. In addition, there is a capacity limit of how many weddings Photographer A can do in a year. Photographer B can accept more projects since he/she has more time to work on them.
There is a working week provided in the software that will tell you how many “40 hour” weeks that you spent working on your photography business. This time is based on all current and projected business activities and not just the time that you are shooting.

Our software has been designed to help photographers with putting a value to their time and costs. Photographers can make their own Photoshop actions as well. But they might spend 70+ hours of their time working on it. If they are making $ 25 a hour, the Photoshop actions will ultimately cost $ 1750 instead of $ 149 market price.
When you own your own business, it is important to pay yourself for your time just like when you are working as an employee of a company.
