Up until 5 minutes ago my greatest fear was seeing my work on Awkward Family Photos. That was 5 minutes ago. Now my greatest fear is Love is funny: Awesomely BAD engagement photos. Sometimes it’s not the photographer, but the awkwardness of the couple that makes these photos awesomely bad. Sometimes it is the choices the photographer made.
That couple you are photographing asks you out of the blue to do something totally weird and you are caught off guard and before you can scream “NO, this is MY LIFE” you are photographing them in the most absurd pose ever, then realizing you have to deliver that image to them and you know everyone they know will know you did it. Not that it has ever happened to me.
Enjoy it as a cautionary tale. My apologies in advance if you find your own work there. Of course if you made the choice to be bad, awesomely bad, make sure it is bad enough that we know it was intentional.

That site has so many funny photos! Thanks for sharing. My favorite was “He Can’t Really See Her But Love Conquers All”.
I think that the “Love is funny: Awesomely BAD engagement” site/blog shows more fantasy and variations in the shots (however there ARE some bad ones) than I can see in most of my colleagues’ boring, crappy engagement photos.
Rather go too far than to short.
My 2¢.

That’s exactly the sort of thing I probably did when I first started out, and I’m proud to admit it!!!! Hopefully I’ve grown along the way though…. I really hope so!!!!
Brilliant, thanks for that!
