Morphie, the company that brought you the Juice Pack extended life battery for the iPhone, is apparently creating an iPhone case with credit card swiping capabilities built in. That means no virtual terminal.

The credit card reader works with an iPhone application and is meant for small business owners to conduct transactions easier. -mobilecrunch

The details are all a bit scarce at the moment but how cool would it be to just swipe for that extra hour you stayed at the reception or to take payment for your senior portrait session right out in the middle of a field. My inner geek loves this!

Yeah, yeah I know there are virtual terminals for the iPhone already but remember swiped cards usually mean a lower transaction rate for you. AKA more money in your pocket at the end of the day.
