The map above shows the state of same sex marriage in the year 2000 and the one below shows 2010 according to the LA Times.
So what does all this mean to photographers? Well let’s just say that I wouldn’t hold my breathe waiting for a windfall of same sex weddings helping to turn the photographic economy around.
This article instantly reminded me of an older article we published on the economic impact of gay weddings.
What do you guys think? Could allowing same sex weddings help to turn our stagnate economy around?

I would switch my business and do only same sex weddings if there was a market for it here. I’ve worked with same sex couples and I never stop having an insanely fun time with them.
Just did my first same sex wedding and I had a blast. Great time, great photos and great contacts. I see many more in my future.

Why not! I think we should always be open to possibilities.
I’m very much opened on same sex marriage because I believe that every individual has the right to be happy and marry the person that they loved and will loved them in return for the rest of their lives. Let’s stop discrimination about them and spread love.
