In my opinion, it is one of those items that the makers hope to find some "trendy gurus" to vote and cheer-lead for it so some gullible photographers -that do not have the guts to say "the king is naked"- will buy it and carry is everywhere (because the trendy people said so). :-) I am usually not that mean.
