You one of those bleeding edge type people? Then you’ll want to run (not walk, run) over to Adobe Labs where you can download the new Lightroom 3 Beta 2.

While it’s not the final release, it is a whole bunch of steps closer.

Some Beta 2 hotness:

• Tethered shooting directly in Lightroom. Not a big thing when shooting a wedding, but in the studio? Oh baby!
• Import Video into Lightroom. This one’s a keeping up with the Jobses sort of thing, as Aperture 3 included this, too. Doesn’t look like the clips are scrubbable (and I don’t have a VDSLR to check with), but that might be changed by the final release.
• The Luminance Noise reduction slider works now.

Those are the big ones, but our very own Lightroom Queen, Victoria Brampton, has gone through the release notes with a fine tooth comb and created a very comprehensive list of what’s new in this version of Lightroom 3.
