Markus Klinko and Indrani, celebrity photographers are filing bankruptcy. In the glamourous business of photography this is just the latest in what seems like an avalanche of bad news stories.
“The business has been devastated by the recession,”
…was the explanation in the filing Indrani’s studio, Double Exposure Studio. The pair who used to be romantically involved have remained business partners, but have filed bankruptcy separately. They are also starring in a reality show scheduled to premier on the cable channel Bravo next year, so we an all watch their businesses fall apart first hand.
It is interesting that at a time when so many of the country’s best photographers are losing their businesses, their assets, and their life’s work so many new photographers would see this as a time to try to break into the already flooded market.
This is the first time ever that I have been happy I DON’T shoot for Vogue.

Sad story. They’re an amazing team and have been source of inspiration for many years.
WELL said. That is the best summary statement I have heard recently.

Uhh lets put this in a real perspective and actually put in some facts for this story. These people out spent themselves and left a ton of honest people unpaid for their work and goods. Read a more detailed and enlightening article on PDN at:

Especially interesting are the comments concerning these people. Personally I think they give photographers a bad name to say the least.
I was an assistant @ their studio for a while. amazing work. best outfitted studio in NYC! He actually had a 3 story studio above a photo lab off houston st. he took out the middle floor and made it a 2 story with ridiculous ceilings! and in the middle of his shooting space was a plexiglass hole in the floor that we would put a light in. so it would light from underneath. soooo frikkin cool. every broncolor light, powerpack, and accessory. We used to use the fuji 6×8 camera. it was a revolutionary medium format camera with bellows. This was all before good digital capture really existed. I would shoot him around the studio with my little fuji S-2
