There are times when we tend to get overwhelmed with all the technology available and forget that sometimes simple is the way to go.
I just shot this beauty shot of Kristina in my studio on a cloudy day. I was trying all sorts of different lighting, strobes, softboxes, hotlights, fresnels, and nothing was working. She was sitting there waiting and then it hit me, why not shoot with the natural light that was there. You would think with a head as large as mine physically, that I would be smart enough to figure that out by now. But nooooooo, I always look for the hard way to do things like most of us do.
In the end, I think the shot turned out amazing and best of all, there was no set up time.
So the next time, look for the easy lighting and use the daylight.
