So let’s say you designed an album as single pages, or have an album exported as single pages. You go to upload that album to your album company, lab or online proofing and you need spreads, not pages. A pain, but not all is lost. Lightroom to the rescue.
Just import your designs into Lightroom.
Now select the spreads you want to join together. They should be in the order you want, so drag them around if needed.
Now we go into the print module. We’re going to pretend to print out, but we’re really printing to JPEG. We are going to use the contact sheet/grid setting.
Now we’ll go into the custom sizes and create the same size the album is. In this case it is 10″ tall by 20″ wide (two 10″x10″ pages)
1. Choose contact sheet.
2. Fill and zoom
3. Margins set to zero (this is very important).
4. Rows set to 1 and columns set to 2 (if you have your page set as a vertical print, you might need to flip these settings).
At this point, your screen should look like this.
Under the Print Job Setting, choose JPEG File.
Hit the print to file button.
And magically Lightroom prints out all of these joined spreads…
Hope this helps a few people.

[...] Last week, I wrote a little tutorial on how to put single pages back together and make them spreads, in Lightroom. You can see that tutorial here. [...]
