Yes, it’s true. Thanks to an iPhone application called DSLR Remote, you can wirelessly trigger your Canon EOS DSLR camera.

Obviously you need an iPhone. Who doesn’t have one these days right? You also need a Canon EOS DSLR camera. The iPhone application from onOne is free, and runs on both a PC and a Mac.
Here is the new iPhone application in action.
If you are a Nikon, Olympus, Pentax or Sony camera user you are currently out of luck. This application works only when using Canon cameras. However, Mike Wong, onOne’s Vice President of Marketing says:
While version 1.0 of the DSLR Remote app only supports select Canon EOS DSLR cameras, a Nikon version is not out of the question. I talked to a friend of mine at Nikon today and he’s provided us with the necessary SDK (software development kit) to allow us to support Nikon cameras.
The application has yet to be officially released through the Apple iTunes store, which is how and where you can download applications for your Apple iPhone. Subscribe to the onOne blog feed or follow Mike Wong on Twitter to be notified of the release.
