I see wedding photo booths at every bridal show. They do look like fun, but I wondered what’s the point? Then it hit me! It is a two birds with one stone device, provided you get one before some other vendor does. It eliminated the random “hey, can you just take our picture?” and generates an additional revenue stream.
Snapshot Studio is a simple set up that allows wedding guests to get that photo without disrupting your mojo. Jennifer from Snapshot Studio told me they set theirs up at a venue in about 15 minutes, add the camera and remote (not included) and let the guests photograph ograph themselves. That would be why they get crazy photos of “Grandma’s panties, bare butts and expressions of repressed man-love”. They end up with 100 to 300 images per event (that’s a lot of additional images to sell).
And why not add a photo booth scrapbook to your bride’s package? For a nominal fee of course.
It would also be a way to offer something different than the photographer next door. The set-up sells for $1,499 on the Snapshot Studio website.

Does not look very sturdy to me?
$1500? Give me a break. This looks like the perfect application for….TINKER TUBES by dean collins. Free PDF here: http://www.software-cinema.com/page/13/tinkertubes
Looks kinda cool and I think photo booths are a great wedding add on, especially for those of us that generally do full day coverage, it makes the evening reception fly by!
That one above looks kinda small though, we do ours with a big HiLite background (8 foot by 7 foot version) and even that seems too small sometimes when you have people coming up with big crazy group ideas. We also prefer to man our booth and be on hand to offer ideas to help get more than just a lot of headshots.

I like the idea but I kinda choked at the $1500 part.
And guests purchase these snapshots online ?
I believe the online sales is the ultimate goal.
It may not look sturdy, but it definitely is. I had the chance to test one out last month and literally hung on it to see its strength. Didn’t budge. I’ve tried this sort of thing on my own at weddings, but this is sleek and simple. Very impressed overall, and ordered one. Can’t wait to have this portable set-up soon!!
It is extremely sturdy, and made from poles lightweight enough to fit into a bag and carry with you to a wedding.
You have to remember the booth can generate a significant amount of income from every event it is set up at. We charge $350 for two hours (without prints), which is significantly cheaper than clients renting the booth elsewhere. Then the online sales of prints generates additional traffic to your site, providing even more marketing opportunities.
Thanks everyone for looking!
