With the amount of video products floating around the tradeshow at WPPI this year, it’s clear that photographers everywhere are going to need some way to display those videos. And of course it has to be sexy. Enter Neil Enterprises and their not so sexy website. (Read that as, great product… bad site design)
After you manage to look past their cheesy online presentation you’ll find their DVD/CD folios and cases which look so much better than their website does. The one above is a single DVD shown partially sitting inside of it’s presentation case as show below.
The covers had a very nice feel to them and the folio build was impressively solid. I’m pretty surethese folios will be part of my studio’s offerings over the coming year.
BONUS: They must have scanned my badge while I wasn’t looking because I just got an email from them regarding these exact portfolios.

Very nice! I checked that web page. I’ve seen worse. I don’t quite see the item you show in your picture. Any idea what the model # is?
179 Box Silve
I think.
They leave the R off of silver on their webpage it’s about half-way down.
BTW they make them in doubles and I think up to quad configs.
I order these exact folios from DNL, they’re great!
I saw these at WPPI, and while they look good, I’m holding out for something just as nice made sustainably either of natural organic fiber or recycled (or upcycled) plastic. Everything I can do to select products that prevent stuff from ending up in landfill helps me keep this planet for my children and others to come.
That said, it’s not always easy to find environmentally friendly alternatives. For now I’ve found CD sleeves that are extra thick and made of recycled chip board. It’s one of the vendors listed on greenerphotography.org and I like them, though they aren’t as fancy.
It was so great to see all the more eco-friendly album options at WPPI — companies are trying hard to be more sustainable.
I’ve been using the 8×8 self-stick albums for several years. Good stuff.
I have used these for a few years now and I think they are great! My Clients really like them. Just a small added touch that makes my product a bit better.
