I just picked up a new app for my iPhone. I’ve always been annoyed that when I want to snap a picture of something with my phone and then Twitter it or FaceBook it I’ve got to load up the camera app to take the picture, another app if I want to edit it, then my Twitter app, and then the mobile uploads on the FaceBook app. That’s annoying.
Commercial photographer Chase Jarvis had the same problem, but actually did something about it. Check out the new The Best Camera app and photo sharing site. First, you get the app, which you load up when you want to take a picture instead of the standard Apple camera app. Snap your picture, then crop it or apply some built-in filters to complete your artistic masterpiece. Then you can share it with one click, on Twitter, FaceBook, and on the new thebestcamera.com photo sharing site, where other users can see what you’ve made.
Here’s Chase’s video explaining the concept:
At $2.99 I thought this was a pretty good deal, so I bought it. To keep abreast of my future iPhone photo masterpieces, follow me on twitter or friend me on FaceBook.

Seriously this app is amazing. I could not recommend it enough- it is very powerful in that you can really edit with real layers. And talk about ease? I find myself taking a lot more images and editing/uploading them right away while creativity is there at that moment.
This app has really challenged me to change the way I look at how I got through life. I know it sounds far fetched- but when I can point my phone at something like a tree or rock or alley way or whatevr- edit it to whatever I was thinking- and upload and share it with one click- I see myself thinking ‘what do I walk by everyday that is unique? What might create a sweet image?’
Cool stuff. I’ll have to check it out
