We reviewed the Original Cotton Carrier here and in more depth on the DWF Gear Forum and while we liked it some of you said felt it was just not designed with wedding and portrait photographers in mind. So wait for it… wait for it… here comes the new Cotton Carry-Lite.
Small bubble burst here you still have to wait because the Carry-Lite won’t be available until the middle of October.
This belt design system would be a great way for wedding photographers to carry a camera, and for those who find the Cotton Carry Vest just a little too much.
A slimmed down version of the Cotton Carrier system that fits into the lightweight harness category. This combination of belt and shoulder strap the might be just what some of you are looking for. Cotton Carrier has promised to send a carry-lite to the DWF world headquarters so we can provide you guys with a hands-on review soon.

Two words for you – Spider Pro! I’ve been using the spider pro belt system for the past three months at weddings, and its one of the best bits of gear I’ve bought in a while. I love it, and it does away with the need to have a neck strap attachment. I just have one 5D hanging at my side and another round my neck.
Ian – I was thinking the same thing. I hadn’t heard fo the Spider Pro until humanitarian photographer Karl Groble mentioned it / described his experience with it on his blog. Here’s the link – http://karlgrobl.com/blog/2010/09/spider-holster-update-and-review-go-strapless/ He’s using a two camera set-up that sounds / looks really functional. One of the comments on the post is from a wedding photographer who is also using it with two cameras. It looks like something that I’ll be investigating further.
Well guys, good news, when I get a version of this for review maybe I will compare the two. I happen to have a spider pro in the office as well.
I shall look forward to it!
