Is there an official definition slash history of the word fusion? Straight out of the DWF Forum Wiki…
Fusion : Referring to a blended style of image capture. The mixing of video and still photography. A movement brought about by the addition of HD video capture added to DSLR’s in late 2008.
As early as October of 2008 Canon Explorer of Light (and DWF PRO Member) Bruce Dorn was using the term fusion to describe the new Art form. He subsequently used this term during a DWF U interview shown here which was captured at the Photo Plus Expo in NYC. Bruce was one of the very first wedding photographers to use the pre production model of the camera.
Also referred to as Filmatography, Cine-Portraits, Moving Portraits or Stills + Motion by some photographers.

My new recipe for fusion: DSLR capable of HD video (short clips), Aperture to manage and edit all of my content, Photoshop to get artsy, and FotoMagico to create kick-ass slideshows with titles, soundtracks, the whole bit. Clients can even get Blu Ray copies along with their album.
Anyone else out there take a similar approach?
