Facebook is the new watercooler word of mouth machine. This one quote pretty much says it all, you need to be part of it because it’s better to be part of the conversation than to just be the one being talked about.
The conversations are happening with or without the brands participation. – Greg Poman (razorfish)
200 million Facebook users form the largest interconnected social network on the planet and while you may not be Starbucks Coffee or Papa John’s Pizza you as a small business owner can very clearly benefit by participating on Facebook. Even if you’re not buying ads.
When you step back and look at the audience and the growth it’s undeniable, the opportunity that exists within Facebook. What you gotta do, is you gotta get out there. – Bob Ford (Papa John’s Pizza)

Ok, so I am the first commenter…do I get a cookie?
My snickered when friends told me to get on Facebook and that it helped. Well, I haven’t seen much business help….yet. But at least I know the word is getting out about my studio since when I post it shows up on my friends walls and then their friends and family are seeing it and so on. Like the old Breck commercial, she tells a friend, then her friend tells a friend then so on and so on and so on. If it doesn’t help the business, I am at least having fun with friends.
