If you are easily offended just move on, there is no way to prepare you for what you are about to see.
I have found the world’s greatest wedding photographer, Derek Pye. I know he is because it says so right at the top of his website. Life would be so much easier if everyone would identify themselves as such. The title intrigued me, as it was supposed to. Who in their right mind would proclaim themselves to be the world’s greatest wedding photographer? Many think that in their heart of hearts, but most aren’t so bold as to tell you they are. The featured work is about what you would expect from someone who told you they were the greatest.
One hopes that the website is all in good fun, but there are so many websites where this caliber of work is featured for a nominal fee that the only way to know is the lack of pricing/availability info. It is a fantastic how not to manual, and a great way to laugh at all the bad photographers you know without actually laughing at them, because that would be mean.
Derek even sells merchandise. I guess if you’re that bad you have to make a living somehow.

This is well known as a spoof site in the UK.
Who’s behind it isn’t known – I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually a very good shooter.

I haven’t laughed so hard in my life. It’s nice to know that even the world’s greatest living wedding photographer doesn’t take himself so seriously and has a great sense of humor. Wow! The Cathedral Dome Flash. That is so far off the wall. Guess Derek is paying his legal team with some great photography. Derek should ask the legal team if truth in advertising and false advertising applies in the UK.

What I find utterly scary is that it appears a significant percentage of my fellow photographers (not to mention videographers) failed to recognize satire when it was biting them in the ass!
Whether it is a spoof or not….some of the things he says are the same as what we are thinking but not ballsy enough to say AND it gives me a well needed laugh!
What a great site! Derek is my hero!
