Finao Albums has a product called 3ditions. It is simply three albums in a box that comes together. When I first saw it I thought, “wow that’s cute” and then forgot about it. But just the other week saw the product again, the lightbulb came on, and I ordered a sample set right away.
The possibilities are endless:
1. Shoot a family with three children and they have an album for each child.
2. A family with 2 children? An album for the family and one for each kid.
3. Presell a “Life Stages” portrait series. The client can buy three portrait sessions with three albums over one year, to see their child growing up.
4. Do the same with a family, “A year in the life.” Shoot in the fall, spring and summer.
The more the market changes, the more I see clients gravitating toward products and not prints. the more creative we get with our products, the happier our clients will be.

Don’t forget multi volume wedding albums. I like thinner books, 40-50 page sides vs. much thicker books. Multi volumes let each book feel more comfortable, let multiple people enjoy different volumes and let you divide up the wedding into different volumes. You could have an engagement book, ceremony book and reception book or and engagement book, wedding portrait book and wedding PJ book, or what ever your creative mind can put together. Zookbinders (my supplier and employer) does offer matching slip cases to house your album set.
