Medium/Large format camera maker Mamiya has appeared on the scene with 3 new digital backs.  Boasting 18, 22 and woohoo 31 megapixels costing an arm, a leg and a probably a kidney repectively. I’m left wondering if anyone besides catalog photographers even care.

These new cameras are apparently so HOT that the throngs of photographers heading to their website have left me with only this shot lovely error message to show you all instead of a link to a press photo and a press release full of impressive even if overkill specs to read.

So do any of you really care about medium format backs? Your response might mean you never have to read thru one of these highly opinionated posts by me about them again.
