I know a few photographers who like to do their processing at their local big box coffee house, while sipping espresso and listening to world music. I like my screens, so I stay office bound. This bad boy could change the minds of people like me. The dual screen laptop from gScreen has plenty of screen real estate. It also looks impressive, so people walking through the coffee shop will know how awesome you are.
It is set to hit the market by Christmas with a fat price tag around $3000. Now if only someone at Apple will hear my cries for the Mac version.

I would also love an Apple version of this! But it would probably start at around $10,000 and be made of platinum or some other strong but expensive metal.
Dude, for this price, just find the right bag for your NEC 2690WUXi panel, and slip your laptop right behind it! (in the bag) Now if they could only get the weight of it’s stand down…
Speaking of, has anyone seen any innovative cases for displays besides the steel w/foam cutouts that would actually let you take a high-end panel like this with you?
I know, I know, you wouldn’t want to tote around something that’s fluorescent-backlit, but if they can get color-rendering down for the LED-backlights, then I could see the *portable* photographic display sans laptop becoming an option.
It would have to be something that lets you keep the display panel in the case during use do drop the stand, and allow heat to escape when in use, but still provide the all-weather protection you need to protect your investment. There’s the freebie of the month for you inventors out there
