A few days ago, Mark wrote about how Walmart is printing your (yes, your) photos from Facebook. And they aren’t alone. Target, Walgreens, Pixable, Shutterfly…all have applications that allow you to print your friends’ photos.
However, there is a solution, though, in typical Facebook fashion, it is an opt out, not an opt in approach. All you have to do is visit the Application page, then click on “Block Application” (shown in the screenshot above), and voila. No more worries. Or rather, one less worry.
Here’s the link to the Walmart app.
And Walgreens.
And Target.
Any more printing apps out there? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks for the post. Just blocked all that were listed.
Here in the UK I found Photobox but there are likely others and if there are not yet then there will be eventually.
Helpful post! Thanks for the update.
Thanks so much for the tip!

Okay, I’m not sure what happened to my first comment, but it’s missing. I basically said that I would recommend searching for “print photos” and then click to the left to see only applications and block them all. There are tons of applications who are not big names, but that are offering the same service, or worse, are offering to add captions and borders or edit the photos in various ways and then print them. I just blocked about 40 more applications.
Will blocking these also block them from printing photos from your Fan Page?
Thanks for posting this! I’m so glad I actually lurked on here today, it seems I need to do this more often.
Thanks again!
Thanks so much for the heads up on this! I can see this type of problem becoming more and more of an issue as Social Networking begins (or already has begun) dominating our lives!

Thank you for sharing this info.
Not really happy about my photos being printed by whoever wants at whatever place they want.
Never trusted facebook- I guess, that’s why I don’t post many photos there.
Thank’s for this advice. It’s tough enough to make a living as a professional photographer without this unauthorised drain on my print/image sales.
