Kacey Metalhead
Can we all agree that one of the ways to distinguish between average photographers and great ones is their ability to elegantly light their subjects?

If off-camera lighting isn’t your mantra, it should be. It’s usually the first step one takes to create flattering images of their clients. And now thanks to Syl Arena it is easier than ever to make your own lightstick – a monopod, that your assistant could carry, with a strobe attached to the end of it.

Using a painter’s pole that one could buy at HomeDepot or Lowe’s, Syl explains how he attaches a Kacey pole adapter to extend the range of his lightstick.

It’s something to consider this wedding season.
