The Paparazzi Bots, as they are called by inventor Ken Rinaldo, roll about as if stalking you before snapping away. Instantly uploading the photos to social networking sites for God knows what reason.
Each autonomous robot will make the decision to take the photos of particular people, while ignoring other humans in the exhibition, based on things such as, whether or not the viewers are smiling or the shape of their smile. When the robots identify a person or group they will automatically adjust their focus to and the robots stop and use a series of bright flashes to record that moment.
Wedding photographers meet your next assistant. Ok that’s a bit of a stretch, but damn… Can you just imagine a few of these babies floating around the dance floor at your next reception? I tell ya it’s gonna happen sooner or later. Just look at the little sony party shot dock thing they already sell.
Will robots become our photographic overlords?

yay!! wont have to shoot recptions anymore… They will have to work on the AI just a little bit so that it is smarter then “uncle bob” otherwise we won’t be able to compete if we buy them and employ robots to do the receptions for us.. maybe i should keep working toward the development of total CGI weddings, that way we could all stay home in our jammies.
.jmc.
That is so scary… except that we photographers know that we are worth more than a swivelling an’ tiltin’ thinymagig… right?!!
Oh man, you’re taking me back! Any excuse, all your base…all your base…

If they ever threaten taking over wedding photography, there’s always sabotage, lol. I reckon one of those would go down HARD ! Hehehehehe.
