If you ever been standing in the mall and thought you saw someone you knew, waved furiously only to realize that you have never actually seen that person before in your life, then you know how I feel.
Google Wave was something I wanted because people I know had it and once I got “invited” I was standing waving my hand at nothing and wondering how dumb I really look. You have to be invited by someone with an account, then wait patiently for your invite to hit your inbox. My Wave account has been silent ever since. Then Wired Magazine had the bright idea to put together a quick tutorial, a getting started guide “Get Started With Google Wave” (Clever title). I have now started my first Wave. Identifying the usefulness of Wave is beyond me at this point, but I am starting to see a glimmer. After all my first Tweet was “wondering what the purpose of Twitter is.” 627 Tweets later I think I have that one figured out.
Editors Note: Like Carli I’m still trying to figure out this whole wave thing. It might help you to know that there is a DWF wave already setup for you to play with. After reading the Wired article perhaps you’ll figure out how to find it.
