DWF Survey Update: Reap the Benefits
blogA staggering 500 photographers have already participated in the 2009 Marketing Effectiveness Survey. The WHAT?!?

This important survey will help members make better marketing decisions, by measuring the effectiveness of word of mouth marketing, social media, print media, SEO/SEM, blogging and the publication of "Real Weddings." If you participate in the survey, you’ll receive the special executive summary of the results in just a few weeks. Everyone else will to wait until December for the full report (which will be exclusive to DWF members).

You can still participate and receive the sneak-peek executive summary! There are just three days left to participate and it takes less than 20 minutes. Don't be left out!

DWF Convention 2010: 200 Strong
conventionThe DWF Convention in Nashville sponsored by Simply Canvas is shaping up to be a stellar event! DWF Pro members know it too! Unprecedented, we're already at 200 registrations 5 months before the event!

Part of the draw, is that this year's convention has an all-new format. Rather than short-bit information and sales pitches from speakers, we've focused on in-depth education from industry leading speakers. Jerry Ghionis will be teaching for an entire day. Spend the day as Jerry steps you through his techniques for turning challenging situations into some of the best fashion inspired images around. Learn to work with plus sized brides, odd height couples and more. Jerry is providing an all-new presentation aimed to make you a better photographer, but it might also make your head explode!

Charge a Consultation Fee?
chargeOne wedding photographer is charging $150 for the privilege of sitting down with him to see his work. A consultation fee!

While some photographers react in horror, a few are saying “wait just a minute here..” Find out why in the DWF Marketing & Sales Forum.

The NEW WedFog Blog
wedfogWedFog has a brand new blog. Designed from the ground up with SEO in mind, the new Wedding Photographers Directory blog has two goals. Attract more brides by providing valuable content and to highlight WedFog members' work. If you have a great idea we'd love to feature you and a valuable linkback directly to your website for FREE.

Getting better and better. In July over 76% of WedFog's traffic came directly from Search Engines. That's a 118% increase in search engine traffic over last year.

Featured Member Interview with Ray Prevost
rayA post by long time DWF Pro Member Ray Prevost is on of the most sought after replies when a member asks a "What would you do?" question on the DWF forums. What some of you may not know is that beyond being a whiz with words Ray is also a damn fine photographer and a Photoshop master.

In our Featured Member interview Ray offers the following advise, "Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t worry what others think. Easily said, harder to do. But there is no forward movement, no growth, if you are content with where you are now."
