 Oh
how time flies, it was only
months ago that we first
announced the DWF Convention
2010 sponsored by

Lab. For those of you

Convention schedule, is Heidi
Uhl. She'll be teaching
basic lighting essentials.
If you're new to lighting and
want to know what to buy, what
to play with and how to grow as
a photographer who creates
beautiful light this is for you.
She'll be working with small
groups in 45 minute rotations
with a live model. She'll be
giving away her trade secrets
using Profoto studio lights and
RadioPoppers for off-camera TTL.
She'll have demo units available
so you can play with the gear
and find out exactly how it can
impact your work.

Members Steal the Convention |

As
we close in on Nashville,
January 10th, the DWF
Convention Forum is
crackling with action, as
attendees set up all kinds of
events. The Booty Shakers
are going clubbing. The first
timers are having their own
Get Together. There's DWF
speaker Critsey Rowe's midnight
Boudoir Shoot, and a host of
events where you can meet fellow
DWFers and hang. At the DWF Convention
the seminars are intense—but the
networking is off the HOOK!

Meet Your King and Queen! |
 All
hail King David! All hail Queen
Petra!
On Monday, David Getson
and Petra Hall won free
trips to DWF 2010 courtesy of
the
Finao Delusions of Grandeur
Contest. Petra will come all
the way from Sweden for her
coronation in Nashville. Even
better? DWF members who voted
for King and Queen of the
Convention, donated an awesome
$5,750 to The Soul Society. The
money raised by this
international charity helps
third world orphans, and we're
proud that so many members
donated!

Jelly-Bean Lighting on DWF U |
 Wanna

commercial lighting style the
