Venue Charges Bride Extra for Non-Preferred Tog |
Yep,
it's bull#&$%! DWF Pro Seth Mondragon recently
discovered that a local venue wanted to charge his bride $495
since he wasn't on their preferred vendor list. Seth provides
a detailed account of the exchange between himself and the
venue.
DWF Pros weighed in with another possible scenario, the
preferred vendors are providing kickbacks. As it turns out,
this practice is far more common than you might think.

Hot Jammin' Photo Edit |
DWF
Pro Jeff Dietz has discovered a fun little marketing tool.
Once a week, he picks a “model of the week,” and as he edits
one of the images in Photoshop, he creates a time lapse movie
of the editing process for a local magazine.
Jeff is kind enough to share one of these rockin’ little
editing sessions on the DWF. Click and see the movie that Jeff
calls “Finishing the Image.”

Crackdown on Facebook Photo Posting? |
So
your client has decided to crop out your watermark and
post your work on Facebook. Do you explain copyright
law and protect your work? Do you let it slide?
One suggestion in this discussion is to make sure your
watermark survives the Facebook crop tool. Others say “bad
move". You’d better check this discussion, because you know

The DWF Events Twitter Stream |
Attending
WPPI 2010? Then you'll definitely want to follow @DWF_Events
on Twitter.
It's going to be the place to get live, to the minute info
on where fellow DWF members are partying and hanging out.
We'll also be using it for future conventions, and other DWF
events to help followers connect and network.
When there's no event happening, there won't be any
tweets. So, that makes it pretty easy to follow if you've
already got a crowded list and can't keep up.
