DWF and Potraiture! |
In
last week’s DWF newsletter, we announced the DWF is increasing
it’s commitment to portrait photography. Our PRO Portrait
Forum is full of activity already, and now we’d like to
introduce you to our newly-named DWF Portrait Experts.
Why these particular photographers? Each has a successful
business. Each has a stunning portrait portfolio. Some are
very well known. You’ve probably never heard of some, but
they’ve been quietly creating success in their own communities.
The one thing they all have in common is a strong desire to
help other photographers take it to the next level. And that’s
why we’re proud that they’ll serve the community as DWF
Portrait Experts.

Meet the Experts! |
Tamara
Lackey is a well-known lecturer who’s spoken before
thousands of photographers at
the DWF Convention, WPPI Las Vegas, and Imaging USA. She hosts
seminars and workshops, and owns the very successful Tamara
Lackey Photography based in North Carolina. Her work was
featured this past Sunday night on ABC’s Extreme Home
Makeover!Janice Morse and her husband own ADC
Photography in New Jersey. Janice believes in quality, not
quantity: Their studio’s average portrait sale comes in around
$1,700. Like so many DWF Photographers, she balances her
business between portraits, and the 15 weddings she shoots
each year.
Tony Cooper and his wife own TLC Photography in West
Virginia, where they have a 3000 sq ft studio, shooting
hundreds of portrait sessions each year. Tony is a firm
believer in continuing education: While heteaches workshops
and seminars, he also devotes strongly in education, 8 hours
each week to his own continuing education.
Chuck Arlund spoke last month at DWF Convention
2010, and leads shooting workshops. Many DWF members are
familiar with his awesome portraiture, as Chuck’s been an
active DWF member for years, frequently posted his work to
accolades!
Tina Wilson has been a DWF member for years! She’s
spoken at DWF Conventions and taught Children’s Portraiture at
DWF U live in Atlantic City. Tina leads workshops for portrait
photographers, while running her very successful studio in
Tennessee.
Paige Elizabeth joins our ranks as an expert in Pet
Photography. Paige says Pet Photography is a luxury some
owners can’t live without. Recognizing this potential profit
center, Paige has offered to educate the community about this
unique form of portraiture, which she says is NOT “just like
shooting kids.”
