Are You "Ghetto Fabulous?" |
One
DWF Pro member proudly admits she’s more “soccer mom than
fashionista,” and wonders if the culture of Hipster
photography she’s seeing on the web and at pro events means
she’s just not cool enough to be competitive.
Is the photography business taking us back to high school,
where style is more important than substance? DWF members give
their opinions on being true to yourself and how to remain
‘current & cutting edge regardless of age and trends.’

DWF on iPhone |
If
you surf the DWF on your iPhone, good news: You now have a
choice whether to surf the stripped-down iPhone version of the
DWF, or you can surf the full life-sized DWF. Your choice!
Switching back-and-forth takes three steps. It’s pretty easy,
and we have a special tutorial that shows you have to pick
your favorite DWF flavor on your iPhone.

Portraits: PS Experts to the Rescue! |
It’s
why you love the DWF. When a DWFer needs help, their
colleagues answer the call. A DWF Pro member posted some
images of a recent portrait shoot that didn’t have extra
sparkle, she asked for some Photoshop help to fix the problem.
She not only got the professional advice she desperately
needed, but other members have taken the time to ‘do their
magic’ on the images themselves and repost. She how dozens of
DWF Pros reinterpret the same image and go ahead, take a stab
at it yourself.

No Shot of the Kiss?!? |
Uh
oh. The kiss shot is WAY out of focus: Do you give the
bride a blurry proof?
It could happen to any of us, and DWF PRO members are
awesome at helping a pro member with a host of suggestions for
dealing with a very tricky client situation. If you have any
insight, give back and post about your experience..

Game Changer: The iPad? |
One
DWF PRO says using an iPad in the client presentation has
changed everything. In the DWF Pro Marketing & Sales forum
he explains why.
Other PROs offer how they’re using the iPad. Before you
shrug and say that it’s just a gizmo, read what members are
saying about the way their clients interact with the iPad. Do
you have your own way of using it in presentations? Jump on
and testify!

Big, Beautiful Bridal Party Shots |
What
do you do when the bridal party is the size of Little League
team? How do you get the shot without making it look,
well, a Little League team photo. DWF Members share some
stunning work with large wedding parties. These members prove
that yes, it can be difficult to get two people posed well for
a shot, but the real work and fun gets started when it’s 20.
