Stylized Actions = Crap? |
Sure,
everybody has a favorite action. But are you a slave to
trends?
A simmering discussion continues with a lot of members
rejecting overprocessing and reaching to classic photography.
In one memorable post, there’s a reference to "Urine Color"
toning. Don’t be shy! Join the discussion.

It's Digital, so it's FREE, Right? |

the client wants those digital hi-res files. But for the price
of a movie ticket?
In the DWF Pro Portrait Forums, member discuss the value of
digital hi-res files, Facebook low-res files, and how you need
to set a firm value for your work. A wide-ranging discussion
that ventures into pre-qualifying a worthwhile clientele and
establishing your worth. Time is money and you might not be

Featured Member Interview Shaun Guest |
Shaun
Guest's idea was simple, "I
live in a tourist town with a busy Sunday market so we'll just
go along every week, sell some art, hopefully book some family
portraits and see where it leads."
Where it lead was somewhere wonderful. Apparently living on
the edge of the worlds oldest rainforest in Northern Australia
and following your dream can turn you into one hell of a
photographer! But don't take my word for it read our full
interview with Shaun.

A Labor of Love |
Some
DWF Members have taken the plunge into Birth Photography.
This growing field has its obstacles:
How do you book a session when only nature knows the
'date'. When you branch out into another 'field' do you keep
the same pricing structure? When it’s a birth session, your
day could be 1 hour, or 24! Hourly vs flat rate? Travel time
and expenses? DWF members discuss how they set their pricing
and make it to the hospital on time.
