Want to Tagalong? |

The DWF's newest feature brings together Pro photographers and
new ones who'd like to learn some basics about wedding and
portrait photography.
It’s the Tagalong Positions thread in the Home
Forum. Pro members have already posted some exciting
opportunities for Start members to learn, while helping out on
a shoot.

The Quiet Ones |

Did you know that 17% of DWF members have never posted on the
DWF? There are even more members who suffer from "bouts" of
shyness. 37% of our members haven't posted in the past three
months.
The biggest reason? They're afraid. And we all lose because of
it. Jeff Caplan discusses the issue in the DWF Home
Forum.

A Little Boom Boom and Zoom Zoom |
|
WedFog has a little more pep in it's step today, thanks to
it's brand new dedicated server. There’s so much traffic
building at WedFog that plans were made a month ago for the
just-completed project. WedFog pages will now builds
zippy-quick for brides, and the WedFog team has ample room for
future expansion plans. Zoom Zoom!
And Boom boom! The WedFog team continues to get emails almost
hourly from photographers asking the same question: How do
I join? The answer is that WedFog is only available to DWF
Pro members, but as an information portal for brides, all
photographers benefits from the open information we share.
"I think what you guys are doing rocks! I would like to be
part of it!..."

Connel from Houston.

Trash the Dress Goes Tabloid |
Chiming
in a little bit late, the New York Daily News ran a Trash the
Dress piece this past weekend, crediting DWF members John
Michael Cooper (AltF) and Mark Eric for inventing and
establishing the trend!

Update on Rob |

The latest update on DWF member Rob Snavely: He’s
suffering severe encephalitis. Julie points out that miracles
do happen, but the path to recovery could take years. Rob
remains hospitalized, getting slowly and slightly better, with
one of his biggest pleasures—to look at mail. If you’d like to
send a card or letter to Rob, here is the address:
|
Rob Snavely
San Francisco General Hospital
1001 Potrero Ave
Unit 5A Room 12, bed 2
San Francisco, Ca. 94110 |
Thanks so much to all the DWF’ers who have already sent Rob
cards, mail and donations, and are helping to cover his
weddings.

DWF People in Focus |
So
who took the pictures at Eli Manning’s wedding?
Congratulations to Jim and Emma Davidson on the birth
of Charlotte, and to Rick Denham on his shots of
Carey Price and the small and unassuming trophy named the
Calder Cup. Walt Roycraft tells us his daughter Elissa
is running in the Boston Marathon, and best wishes to Jenn
J’s mom, who is a real Ice Road Trucker and who made it
safely off the Ice Road, just before it closed.
Finally, as Homer would say: We make a good team. A groin-grabbingly
good team. If you have news for People in Focus, please
