Critique My Work |

There's a lot happening in the DWF Critique My Work Forum--
like the Photoshop Challenge! The winner of last week's
contest, Brent De Shazor contributed the image on the left. How
would you use Photoshop to mess with mother nature?
Members strut their stuff, then vote on the best PS work. You'll learn a lot about
enhancement just by visiting.
The Critique Forum is also home to the Beckstead's
Artistic Challenge. David dissects his amazing work,
and challenges DWF members to do the same.
If you're feeling uninspired or creatively challenged, the
Critique Forum is a great place for a midwinter re-charge!

DWF Featured Member Lena Hyde |

Her business started just six years ago, with pictures of her
own newborn son, and today DWF Featured Member Lena Hyde has
portrait clients all over the US. The response from her DWF
Tampa seminar was phenomenal and she's started a new company,
Design Aglow. What is her secret? It's a philosophy of less,
not more.
Lena talks about her business and her art and shares
photos of children from the PGA tour. The interview and the
photos are posted in the Home Forum.

Here Come the Brides! |

And the inquiry phone calls. Do you know what to say? or will
you freeze up?
One
Answer: Say congratulations and sound thrilled! Then get the
where, when, what and set a date for your face to face
meeting.
What about the first meeting? How do you address the issue of
experience, and what do you show the prospective bride and groom?
WAIT! DWF member John Givens says, "listen before you sell..
Let them tell you what they want, and then give it to them!"

DWF People in Focus |

Congratulations to Mike Connell and Mindy Sonshine, new
parents of twins Chase Michael and Madeleine Soleil. Rebecca Bouck also had a beautiful baby boy, Grant Austin. John Riedy
reports with great excitement that you heard his wife Becky's
voice as the announcer on the Grammys. John Garner's daughter
Julie tells us Bookcraft's founder is recovering from surgery
for a broken foot.
Finally, one of the DWF's own moderators
was married to her sweetheart on Saturday. Tammy Smith and
Michael Warnock and their guests enjoyed horseback riding,
lunch at a nearby diner, a party, and oh, yeah, got married
too. JP Prutch served as officiate and both he and Amy and
their cameras fit right into the family scene.
