Faves of 2007 |

If you've been focusing more on business than art or just
need a little inspiration, there's a thread running in the
Pro Art forum that's definitely worth checking out every few
days. Many DWF members have contributed their own favorite
or best shot, and the results, as they always are on the
DWF, are extraordinary, but they are also very personal and
emotional.

DWF Featured Member: Angelica Glass |

For someone in her twenties, Angelica Glass seems to have
achieved something it takes most people many more years to
gain: a strong sense of self. That comes through clearly in
her interview and it infuses her photography. She is not
afraid to take chances; anyone who shoots their first paid
wedding by accident has to be fearless, and yet, she'll tell
you she is terrified everyday that she is not doing right by
her clients. Her motto: I will outshine them all.

No Hocus Pocus |

David Williams left hundreds of photographers with tears in
their eyes at DWF 2008 in Tampa. Not because of his new
Photoshop actions, nor because of his dazzling post-production
techniques. It was elementary and basic- he drove home in a
deeply personal way that pictures tell a
story.
David is committed to the art of great picture making- and as
he begins
a new series of Almost Alone workshops, we thought it
important to let
you know that in three days, David offers years worth of
knowledge about using light, vision-- and the hardest thing to teach- using
your heart
and soul to provide your clients meaningful -and beautiful-
prints, albums, and portraits.
Want to produce better work, and brighten your outlook? Want
to feel
like you've finally arrived? Read more about David Williams
and Almost
Alone- coming very soon to the US and UK.

I guess we know what photographers do during the slow season!
Sam Anise reports he and his wife are expecting twins sometime
around the end of May, and congratulations to Hillary Gardner,
who is expecting a little Halloween baby. Don't forget, Feb.
29th is a Day in the Life of the DWF, coordinated by DWF
member Peter Finger.
