2009 Convention: RIGHT NOW! |

Moments ago, we just released major details about DWF
Convention 2009 sponsored by Zookbinders!
Here’s why you’ll want to go to the Convention website and
register right now:
While they last, you can have a full villa for the same price
as a regular room. Your choice: A deluxe villa on the golf
course or a spacious room steps away from all the DWF action!
Either way, $149/night.
This offer is being made to 8,500 DWF members, and the choice
of villa or spacious room in the heart of the action is yours,
but only until the last villa is claimed. To get your choice
of hotel room, you have to register for the DWF Convention
first.

DWF Convention: Where? |

DWF Convention 2009 will be held at the Carefree Resort and
Villas, January 11th-14th in Carefree, Arizona. An entire
desert resort, completely taken over by the DWF!
“The resort is
amazing, with spacious, gorgeous rooms, a huge "saloon" which
I am sure will see much, ahem, networking. The towns of Carefree and Cave Creek are only minutes away
with great shops and restaurants.” --Joel and Rita Wiebner.
Members will be bussed to PPA’s massive ImagingUSA Trade
Show in nearby Phoenix, during the DWF convention.

DWF Convention: Bring on the Night! |
Do
you shoot weddings at night?
Of course you do!
This is why
AltF will present “Let there be Light!” The entire
convention will move to the amphitheatre at nearby El Pedregal
for a wedding photography first: An outdoor, nighttime
shooting seminar on low-light weddings, conducted by the most
original, exciting shooter in the world, John Michael
Cooper.

DWF Convention: Keynote Speaker |
David A. Williams has heard it over and over again
after his seminar in Tampa: “Your seminar changed my life.”
"By the end of his talk many, even me, were choked up and some
were even in tears. Hearing David speak was worth every penny the convention cost
me." - Scott Williams"We need to make it a
priority whenever we are fortunate enough to have David
present that NO ONE should have to make a choice and miss such
a wonderful experience." - Derek Eddy
We are very proud to present David A. Williams as our DWF 2009
keynote speaker, Sunday night, Jan. 11th, 2009.

No More Blue Wedding Dresses! |
As
you're well aware, white balance is one of the most
frustrating parts of the wedding photography. It's tough to
nail it "in camera!"
Should you trust your camera's pre-sets? Use a grey card?
Shoot RAW? DWF member Drew Strickland has an accurate,
new, approach to white balance called ColorRight, and you can
read all about it, in his review of white balance methods:

concerns about where he should go for ongoing rehabilitation.
